Hello all the Guru,

Kindly advise if there is anyway to remove the stuck portion of a water tap from the wall? It is like the root of a teeth remains in the mouth.... Please help.......

Haven't a clue what you mean. Tried unscrewing whatever it is?

I know what you mean  . You have an old brass tap that was screwed into a socket in your wall...part of the brass is left in the socket because the metal has fatigued and the rest of the tap has come away...Cut through the remains of the brass from the inside out...ie. centre to circumference...with hacksaw blade..held in a cloth..then poke out the remains and clear the threads...get a new tap and wrap threads with Hemp ( rope filaments) and use a jointing paste too. I am the Guru of Old technology... we still have Garden Privy`s where I live

Hi Nige F,

You are the man, thank you very much! Not only you had gotten what i meant, your good suggestion works!!!

Thanks 4 that, sometimes I feel left out of the 21st Century

Nige F, how on earth did you know what the guy was on about? Are you psychic?

Presumably not, 'cos if the answer was yes you would have already posted the answer "yes".

Tonight Chris, you will disagree with one person and agree with two. and something will make you v.happy

I would be very happy if I only disagree with one person tonight :D,

but I think I've already disagreed with more
