Help central heating not working!

Hi,

i've got a potterton ideal classic nf30 boiler which has not fired up when i switched the central heating this evening.

The boiler fired up when i switched the hot water on thou.

Does anyone have any ideas of what i can try to see what the problem is?

Ideal classic nf30 is not a Potterton, it is by strange coincidence an Ideal boiler

If working ok for HW it will be an external control ie the ch zone valve, or the 3 port valve that is faulty.

Did you check the room stat? Yesterday was a pretty warm day and your CH may have just switched itself off. So often there's a simple explanation!
