Help, coax too short

It goes from one end of the cable to the other! You have to remove the outer plastic sheathing, being careful not to cut through the braiding.

I would put an F connector on it and extend it with an F coupler through a brushed cable outlet plate.

Yes but if you haven't got the crimper to put the f type plugs on just use the coaxial type plugs

apologies for this, just so i get this correct,

• Existing short wall cable attach one of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/labgear-f-plug-coaxial-connectors-10-pack/17061
• then attach MX 066R (F socket to coax plug)
• then attach another of these: https://www.screwfix.com/p/labgear-f-plug-coaxial-connectors-10-pack/17061
• attach coaxial cable through the faceplate
• on the end of the coaxial cable attach male coaxial MX260 and plug directly into TV

First time yes and it worked, now I couldn't get that in, not long enough and it's not working. Does that inner white bit need to rest on the bit where you put the red arrow for it work properly?

In Motties example photo, there are two actual terminals. The square one, with a single philips type screw, then lower down a sort of metal clamp, with two screws. The inner wire centre core, needs to be clamped under that square single screw.

Under the black outer insulation, is a braided copper screen, that copper screen needs to be clamped under that clamp with the two screws.

Yeah it's just too short and not enough space to be clamped with the two screws unfortunately

That's all you need (aswell as the outlet plate) well thats the easiest way...

I thought youd get all that behind the plate and just have the wire coming out, but that'll do if it works I suppose and I assume it's out of sight anyway.
