Help Confused but not (yet) dazed Pull cord switches

Help. This problem is getting to me so I am calling for assistance. The current situation (no pun intended)is I have got two flexes coming through the roof containing the folowing; two red, two green and yellow twisted together, a yellow, and two blue (cappped ). The switch has got earth, L1 and com. My boyfriend says it is driving him mad. But he is too proud to ask for help. What do I do?

Who took down the lightswitch?

Did anyone make notes as to the positions of each wire in the old accessory?
