Your scaring me - looks like an instrument of torture

the way a crimped joint works is the cable is inserted into a crip connector and then the connector is squeezed very hard onto the cable

http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/DVDHCR15.html will be fine the larger scarier looking tools are for bigger crimps

theese are the cromp connectors themselves

and finally you will wan't to enclose them in a chockbox

Is this a first? Fluffys asked 'how much?' and breezer didn't reply:
see item 9
So is it different if a bit of fluff asks then? ;)

fluffy - you should get the ratchet crimps and do the repair work yourself. itll be cheaper than gettin someone in to do it. you cant really do it wrong (strip wire, put in crimp and squash it. not too hard even if u aint done it b4)

Yes, I expect so. Ha ha. Women know the score! As soon as a forum poster says "I'm a girl/woman/female", everybody rushes to help. Feminine charms, batting of eyelashes, a bit of decollatagé etc...
