Help fixing border damaged wall (pics)

It goes across the whole room.

I was thinking I should use something like pollyfiller to fix this plasterboard wall but wanted to get a second opinion on a possible alternative/easier way of doing it.

Easifill better than polyfiller in my opinion.
Can put it on with a small trowel and sand flat where needed, when it has set.
Repeat for any missed bits if required.
