Help Identifying Material for Boxing Bathroom Pipes ?

Need to redo pipe boxing in bathroom, some panels have come off and looks really scruffy. Need help identifying what the following material is, can't seem to find it anywhere, it's not ply or mdf. It's a lightweight material, has a shiny surface and chalky core.

It might be something like UPVC facia or soffit board.

Based on what you have described and what i'm seeing it looks like 12mm plasterboard and the black specks possibly moldy plasterboard.
But that seems to obvious. As i'm going to take a guess and say you would know what plasterboard is wouldn't you?
