Can anyone identify this rather sorry looking boiler?
The only markings on it are the 15/21 on the external casing.
The burner is an Ecoflam? Which the customer says is original.
The secondary heat exchanger is a two pass affair that only has baffles in the exit side.
The domestic water side has a C&P flow restricting isolation valve

Thanks
Simon

Looks like a Turco engineering boiler (think that's the name!). Were the baffles only towards the left hand side?

Thanks Danoil - certainly looks like it could be one of theirs.

Baffles were all on the left side when I left it! Lot of other things were different too!

No tech info on the website so will give them a call tomorrow.
Are they distributed here? I've never even heard the name (not that that counts for much :-))

For some reason the baffles are always stacked left- I did ask them why but honestly can't remember the response. The carpy rectangular seal will have probably have split as soon as you removed the cover too so ask them for one when you ring them.

They are a smallish English engineering company i believe, I have only had to ring them once before and the chap I spoke to sounded like I woke him up and/or just couldn't be bothered so good luck!

There *seem* to be more tubes on the exit side than the entry and the right amount of baffles for the exit tubes so that's where I put them!

You were right about the recuperator seal - had split and gone some time ago and been leaking. Replaced now.

The fabrication seems reasonable and the owner has seems keen to keep up the maintainance now it is all sorted, so would be nice to get him a set of documents and find out the manufacturers commissioning data to compare with my best guesses!

Turkington Engineering use the Brand name "Eurocal" in UK
they are a sort of Copy of a Grant but nowhere near as good!
