Looking to buy flat on gfloor but cracking in corner brickwork above. It runs about 8 feet. Above and below crack looks ok. Is it brick expansion?

The corner crack is typical of brick expansion on long walls which don't have a movement joint. It won't get any worse now, and nothing to worry about.

ridds1313, Hi

As Tony has posted looks like an expansion problem.

In general terms there should be a correctly formed expansion joint every so often, about 6 meters or so, get this dimension wrong and well cracks form elsewhere.

In effect if there is no expansion joint @ about 6.M then the wall without the expansion will actually cause a crack in the wall that is at right angles to the original wall without the expansion gap.

Hope this makes some sense?
