hi
i moved into a new build home about 2 years ago, so i assumed all the stuff inside would be ok for a good few years....well no
i noticed the other day that when i turned the shower on the whole unit moved slightly, so i wiggled it a bit more and sure enough it seemed loose on the hot side.
so i pulled back the collar that was over it to find that i could move the pipe back and forward a couple of mil it seems that there is no locking ring or anything attaching to the rear of the pipe etc to hold it in place.
is this normal?? if it isn't the whole thing is held in by what looks like common or garden silicone sealant .
heres a pic (please excuse the water marks i usually buff it up to a nice shine )
what are my options??
thanks for your time
Chris
