Hi

just moved into a house with an non-working alarm, so the seller informs me.

i would like to get it up and running as i sometimes have to work away.

It seems old and bulky but it does have sensors in most of the rooms, however i can find no information on the net about it.

the only info it has is on it is "Series 4500" is it any good.

any info or help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

chris

didnt Modern Alarm (now ADT) use the 4500 as a Scantronic 9800?
or it could be a 9600 or a 9100?

pick would be very helpful!!!

Google > Scantronic 9500, guess what will come up.

Good luck

aint seen / worked on one of them for years!!!!
multiplex manager panel!!

in its time it was the mutts nuts, but now the galaxy is better! (there are other panels available)

the last time, (just checked diary from 1984) we fitted one to a nightclub!
still there as well! the club is closed tho and going for re developement
i would hazard a guess that the mempack has had it.

so what do you want to do with this panel, ? get it working? it is NOT the easiest panel to re program, (if you dont know it) and i will hazard a guess that the mempack on the board has had it!

Oasis

best thing to do is remove it and fit a modern (no pun intended) alarm system using , if they are ok, the cabling!

Have you a code, thats a good starting point?
If not as before if not used to this it can bite you back :D Used to love them then Galaxy did the business :p

The only trouble you may have is if LiMS have been spread about the property as then you will be limited on choice as to replace so to speak. As there are no zones in the panel itself.

If your lucky the LIMS are by the panel (Poor design lol). Actually programming was not too bad as it was menu driven, although some found it hard on the Lims :S
