Hey guys,
I'm hoping someone can shed a light on what may be causing this 'creaking' noise at the top of the stairs. I hear it every time I step on the top stair and for about 4 steps along landing after that. Then it seems to reset as I walk back and happens again when I step on the top stair again. I'm guessing something's moving, maybe a joist, and as I walk away the load comes off it, when I walk back with load back on it again it creaks. Just guessing.
Any ideas? Does anyone have a video or photos of what it typically looks like under a floorboard at the top of the stairs?

Here is where I am convinced the noise is originating from. What would be directly underneath this part?
Thanks in advance.
