My boiler has been temperamental for some time, firing up for a few minutes, then going off so the water fluctuates from hot to cold & back. Its now doing the same with the central heating and sometimes will not come on at all. When there is increased air circulation the boiler will work fine. There are no blockages in the flue, the fan appears to be working ok, could this be a problem with the air pressure switch? Any suggestions please!?

most likely the fan venturi is
1. full of white spots or 2. just falling to pieces!
these boilers are tempremental at the best of times, the thermistors should also be removed and cleaned with a nylon scourer (boiler will need to be drained to do this)
