looking to convince loss adjuster that the entire asbestos cement sheeting of yard building needs replaced rather than the quarter that the snow went through from three floors high!!! any legal jargon i can give to remove the entire lot rather than just the damaged quarter? some of them are ok but theres always one who upsets the happiness. any advice appreciated.

the loss adjuster is there to pay out as little as he can, do not wind him up.

Its actually a H&S risk to fix new to old as the need to drill and work on the asbestos sheets can release fibres

Also, the profile of new sheets wont match the old ones so potential for leaks is significant

Ask him if he is qualified to comment on specialist asbestos work, or if the insurance will cover the risk. He'll probably say no, in which case you may want to suggest that a specialist opinion is obtained ... and I am sure a removal contractor will be amenable to a suitably worded quote
