Hi, I've just bought two new 1200mm sliding patio doors from Wickes and my builder is installing them. The frames are now in and are perfectly square and true but when the fixed and sliding glazed units are put into the outer frames they themselves are not true.
A long level placed down the left and right edges shows that they both bow inwards to the centre of the frame on the vertical, like a pincushion shape. So the top and bottom fit OK but the middle of the frames are a good way short of a snug fit to the outer frames. All four panels (two door sets) are the same but by varying amounts. The worst one is something like 10mm out.
Is this something that can be adjusted by taking the beading out and putting packers in next to the glass or is a a return to Wickes job.
Thanks.
