Sorry for the newbie question but I thought it would be asking someone who knows rather than guessing.

I am wanting to hang a mirror in the bathroom. Unfortunately the mirror never came with screws so I went a bought a wall plug & screw set. There are three sizes. On the plug they have the following printed on them:

S6
8x40
8x80

I want to use the smallest marked S6 but I am unsure what drill bit to use. I have bits that go from 1.5 - 7 but the 6 looks too thick. Any ideas

S6 refers to the size bit so 6mm is right. Some cheaper drill bits are not that precise so if yours looks too big use a 5mm bit and try it first - you can then use the 6mm if it's too small.
8x40 and 8x80 are the minimum and maximum depth of the hole and length of No.8 screws
