Hi,

I have my washing machine draining to a pvc pipe that subsequently drains into a soil stack. All works well, however I'm looking to see if theres a way for me to put a more secure fitting on the top to connect my washing machine drain hose to? So that's it's not just resting inside the soil pipe and perhaps provides a little bit of sound insulation too. The doesn't have any tread on it, so I'm unsure if the normal connectors would work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Have a look at McAlpine V33WM. Comes with blanking plugs so leave the unused one in.
2. That stand pipe looks very close to the soil pipe. Does it have a trap at the base?
