My mom just bought a $5,000 blanket and I got candle wax on it. I got most of the wax off but there is a huge stain now. What should I do?

cover it in blotting paper then iron over it. the iron will melt the wax and the blotting paper should soak it up

Buy a similar looking fake for $50 from the local street market, then replace it without her knowing ;)

Or try chappers suggestion, that should work too

Try brown wrapping paper

How did you do that ? !

Be careful of a fire risk though

Trying to re-enact Madonna's "Body Of Evidence" :D

I recently used a flannel in the method described to remove wax from my wifes trousers, which was more effective than brown paper.

But before doing that, see if it will fit in the freezer, when the wax goes hard you can remove the majority by picking in off.

If it is just a stain left, presumably from the coloured wax, take it to a dry cleaners, they have specialist spot-removal stuff (the technical term I believe). Ironing it will not remove the stain, it is more likely to set it.

Kags.
