What version of windows are you running?

Can you load into windows and log in?

Click Start
Click Programs, and then Accessories
Click System Tools and open System Restore

Not sure how many restore points you have but I would go for the earliest, the one that will take you back in time the furthest

Try that then and see if it helps, failing that you need a clean install using an XP installation disk

They can be bought or downloaded depends what way you swing!

Cant be 100% on any version of XP without downloading myself and testing but this one seems to be OK, people asking for KEYGEN but a comment does give it, but as I said I cannot guarantee this is going to work as its always a case of "suck and see"

1. Install Nero or any other similar CD/DVD burning software

2. Download VUZE or any other similar torrent application

3. Follow link below and click "Download Torrent"

4. When complete right click the file and choose open with Nero or whatever you chose

5. Make a note of the serial which has been given in one of the comments

When you get this far let us know and we can assist you further

Note this is ilegal and can carry a maximum of 5 years in a cat A prison

now my speakers wont work  they are Philips A 1.2 fun power any suggestions?

It is likely that the SOUND drivers are not installed

Quickest way is to get the installed via WINDOWS UPDATE but first you will need to be on the latest SERVICE PACK

Right click MY COMPUTER choose properties, a box pops up that says WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK ????

Latest for XP is service pack 3 so if your lower than 3 install if before you do WINDOWS UPDATE

Anymore help please ask

hmm from memory I thought you could go from 1 to 3 but hey ho

try downloading Service pack 2 install that then install service pack 3

then try WINDOWS UPDATE and choose "CUSTOM" that will display "RECOMMENDED" updates and "OPTIONAL" updates, it is in optional that you may find the drivers for your sound and the name of the update will be the clue

Let me know if you get stuck

If you can open up your PC look very close at the motherboard for a series of random letters and number, MODEL number to be precise

Tell me this then I will give you your sound drivers
