My henry vac has stopped working. Checked the fuse and all ok.

Does anyone know if these vacs have a common fault which is easy to rectify ?

It is about 4 yrs old and has been used for dust, rubble etc.

Does the vac have the Hi/Low speed switch? If so, it has it's own PCB which is always packing in.

You can link the high/low switch out so that it just operates on high speed and bypasses the PCB altogether.

The other common fault is a broken cable normally at one of the two ends caused by constant winding and pulling on it. A quick continuity check may show that up or test for power at the on off switch.
