Just been on the ideal website very poor achive lol.
Is down atm changed thermocouple but pilot still fails to stay alight am going to change the gasvalve at the weekend, just would like to read some paperwork.

it can only be the gas valve... check that case seal too mate.. they start to crumble and afaik you cant getem anymore
 
i think the caseseal is pretty much fried, but the thing doesnt have a air pressure switch so that wouldnt prevent it from firing. Anyone no if they were negative or positive presure?
As far as im aware its the original gas valve, boiler was fitted in 1978 lol.
Boiler is located in a unoccupied leantoo at rear of house so maybe i wont ID it lol.
Then again maybe i will lol
