Hi.

I having a slight headache from a bathroom layout. I hope someone can help.
I have a bathroom to fit in a top floor flat. Loft is accessible.
The soil vent pipe is metal and about 30 cm away from the wall.
The customer had an idea to fit the toilet cistern in the loft (ceiling height 240 cm/8ft).They don't want a chain pull but a push button.
I wonder if anyone has fitted a low level or concealed cistern in loft before and how it did perform. I was thinking to fit an insulated Grohe cistern.
To fit the cistern in the loft would be reasonably easy and nice solution for sure.
Thank you.

With the force of water coming down from 2.4m high, you might get over spill from the toilet pan, only fit what the manufacturers recormmend.

If you put the cistern in the loft, don't neglect the precautions against frost. The relatively small quantity of water in a WC cistern will freeze a lot faster than a cold storage tank.
