It's not a back boiler, it's a combi boiler. If you want to fill it to 1 bar, stop filling it when you get to 1 bar. If you continue filling the pressure will continue rising. If the pressure rises to 3 bar very quickly then you probably have an expansion vessel problem (see FAQs).
