Our Boulton and Paul side-opening windows were fitted with Shaw hinges (305S) in 1987. I've been unable to track down new hinges to replace the ones which are now worn out. Would be grateful for any advice

We get asked to repair these for our local council, but like you say they are no longer avaliable. When we replace old windows that have these fitted we take the hinges of and keep them, i think i have 2 pairs left if these are the same ones. Take a picture and give me the sizes.

Thank you for offer of help. The base of the hinge where it fits onto the window frame measures 261mm x 48mm. I have a photo of a hinge (black bit in centre is missing) but don't know how to show it......

I am also looking for replacement. My double glazing window are enscribed with 305S. The glass unit says Alpine Windows.

I need a few of them. I can't seem to locate them. Can they be replaced with generic window hinges?
