hip ridge at valley

Hi,
Im doing a loft conversion soon and the dormer valley is very close to the existing hip ridge.
When the roof is complete the hip ridge tile will be sitting in the lead valley to the new dormer,
Is this a good idea, ive room to have the dormer lower if need be but im trying to maximize head room.
Also would i dry or wet finish this hip ridge?

Raise the dormer to meet the ridge line that way no valley is required the dormer roof will match existing

It's fine with the hip in the valley
