HIU - Lukewarm water

Hi all.

I'm having an issue with hot water and I was hoping someone could kindly help please.

Here are some photos of the HIU (Heat Interface Unit) and some of the things that look relevant to the problem.

In essence, both shower and bathroom tap produce lukewarm water. It's hot for a few seconds and then remains lukewarm at best.

Does the pressure gauge in the fourth photo show an issue with pressure? It reads just above 1 at the moment. When I rotate the red valve on top of the gauge, the red hand moves when I rotate slightly, but the black hand doesn't. I only try it for a second as I don't want to cause an issue. When I do this I hear and notice some water come through along its pipe towards bottom close to the floor.

On the last photo you can see another valve which is directly below the HTG Flow pipe. It shows + sign for rotating left and -ve sign for right. It also has some numbers 2, 3, 4, which to me looks like a thermostatic valve that can be adjusted. However, when I try adjusting it, it won't move at all

Any help or directions would be much appreciated please.

P.S. the third photo I believe are underfloor heating pressure gauges, but do let me know if they are relevant to the problem at all.

Names I can see are Kamstrup and Ormandy Rycroft.

I have but they are just extremely useless and take months to get anything fixed.
Probably the Ormandy, we have some of their mini breeze models. Can’t remember if the hot water outlet temperature can be altered.

Do photo 4 and 5 mean anything to you? I'm thinking photo 5 might be the thermostatic valve as its on the HTG flow pipe, but I don't want to break anything as the valve itself is not budging.

Hard to tell, can you get anything with the writing on?

Does the rest of the valve look something like this?

If so, it's a Samson valve, the black plastic ring should turn, to adjust the temperature.
Mark where it is before adjusting it - you will want to put it back there if everything goes wrong!

And I'm afraid to say, I don't know if it will do anything for your problem.

Unforunately not possible as its behind another big pipe/part of the HIU

It does look a bit like that although difficult to tell exactly as it's behind a large block. Please see attached. It's actually connected to a large black block on the front of what you have in your photo.

I have rotated the black plastic ring but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. The numbers also don't appear to be moving. Does anything need to be turned off before doing it?
