Hive heating help

Self installed hive heating on Thursday. We already had a wireless thermostat so just unwired the old receiver and wired in the new hive one. Since then our boiler fires up when the heating comes on but a few minutes later it goes off then a few minutes later I can hear it firing up again. Don't know if this a problem with hive or the boiler
