I have just purchased a Hive active heating pack for controlling the heating on my valiant combi boiler, I have a 3 core wire coming from my boiler to a Honeywell thermostat in my hall way, the cores are permanent live, switched live and neutral, how would I install these in my hive ?

A little more googling my take on things is that the wiring to the Hive module is 230volts on L + N and the switched live on terminal 4 heat on ???

if you can't/dont understand the instructions then id advise getting someone in tbh

Switched live goes in three and you'll need to link L+1 together if you only have one live out from the boiler.
