Hive and Potterton Titanium

Hi,

I am currently trying to install a single channel Hive to a Potterton Titanium boiler.

I have ran a 4 core cable from the wiring on the boiler to the Hive.

I’ve wired as follows;

Live - Live
Neutral - Neutral
230v Live Out - Common
Switched Live In - Heating On (NC)

I have switched the timer on the boiler to the off position however the Hive does not turn on the heating. Has anyone installed one of these before.

You need to leave the timer on constant.

I have ran a 4 core cable from the wiring on the boiler to the Hive

Invest in a length of 5 core cable and thus avoid the mis-use of the Earth conductor as a Live conductor
