Hi guys,
need some advice i want to fit a hob rated at 6.3kw, & oven rated at 3.2kw.The existing circuit is wired in 6mm fed by 32amp mcb
would i need to have another circuit installed for the oven or could i combine both circuits & fit a 40amp mcb
The 6mm is run through the loft(insulation)

Thanks

On the contrary - because of the insulation, but depending on exactly how it is installed, it would be better to fit a 25A mcb.
If you can't find one for your consumer unit then remove the cable from the insulation or vice versa.

This is a previous diagram but apart from the 32A mcb it will do for you.
Fit a 13A fuse in the FCU.

If you do change to a 25A mcb you need not fit the FCU.
Connect both hob and oven cable to a double Connection Unit.

If the cable is laid on the ceiling and covered by less than 100mm. of insulation you can leave the 32A mcb in place.

Edit - In fact a 20A mcb would suffice.

What distances is the cable run through insulations?
Is there any slack on the cable, so it can be raised above the insulation?
Is the cable clipped to timbers along the length of it's route?
