Holey Joist!

Saw this today in Staffs...

It's a very thin joist to start with, then it's been drilled vertically, right through twice closely together, then the two holes made into one oblong slot..

Funny thing 1 is, the other cable goes round the joist...

Funny thing 2 is there is a nice gap between the joist and the wall...

Not an electrician's logic, I hope!!

Someone should put a couple of coachbolts or large screws through that into the wall...

By 'that' I take it you are refering to the installer?!?
