My dogs have never damage paddling pools , if the OPs dog has spine issues he will be lifting the dog in and out .?

Thanks to all the replies and input. They are welcome.
Just getting back on track and answering a few questions personally I don’t care whether I need to make it out of OSB or ply it’s whatever is strongest the most suitable
I’m not obsessed with OSB just more a case of I’ve seen and heard it used in construction so assumed it would be the strongest but from what I’m reading it sounds like ply might be better but again happy to take guidance

Regarding splashing, I don’t believe that’s an issue because my plan was to overlap the the top and sides with the DPM and what with the water only being 200 mm deep and the sides being 400 mm high my dog won’t be moving at such a speed to cause any real splashing anyhow

Regarding the paddling pool, yes we had considered that but what with the weather been pretty rubbish recently our plan was to set this up in the garage and then just be able to pull it out from the wall as and when we want to use it

Roughly speaking, OSB lies between chipboard and plywood for both strength and cost. I.e. it's stronger than chipboard but cheaper than plywood.

If the idea is to leave the water in there, won't it be freezing cold most of the time? I thought dog hydrotherapy tanks were supposed to be pretty warm?

Already on that as planning to use aquarium heaters to get the water to exactly the right temperature before she goes in

Hi, we actually ended up building a small pool for our long-haired dog, since grooming and exercise after her condition became a bit of a challenge. It turned out to be a really great decision overall and she’s doing much better.The only ongoing issue we’ve had is with the filtration it seems to need quite a bit of attention and isn’t always working as smoothly as we’d hoped. Apart from that, we’re really happy with how it’s worked outt.Has anyone got any advice or experience with improving or maintaining the filtration in setups like this?

honestly, I don't even know what it was, it served for quite a long time, maybe that's why the problem appeared and it needs to be replaced
