Anyone know who is allowed to fit a solar battery. I have Solar PV panels already fitted and now want to fit a battery system. I presume it has to be done by a competent fitter, but are there further restrictions. I'm intending to use an inverter/charger SOFAR ME3000SP which I believe is G99 approved, which limits/prevents export by the inverter to the grid.
Issues I am unsure with are:
- Need to notify the DNO of the battery system
- Fitter needs additional certification, other than standard domestic electrical work.
