I am going to fit these to create a porch in front of my recessed front door.

The web site says they can be used to slide in either direction.

I also asked a lady at the manufacturer's too if they could be fitted with either front or rear panel at the front.

The picture on their web site shows them in the "hand" that I do not want, with the left panel sliding towards the right.

But I don't see how they can be used either way bearing in mind the locking one has protruding handles.

Am I not seeing it correctly or are Homebase and the manufacturers both obscuring the issue? I know that you cannot expect Homebase to actually understand anything but the manufacturers should do. ( ATT Fabrication )

I think they can be made to open either way, I assume they sell the kits where you have to put the frame together yourself?
See if you can download the doors instructions online somewhere or open the box if you have already bought them.

If you havent bought them yet try popping into some local double glazing company's for a supply only price. I have done a few Wicks patio doors for people before and to be honest the quality is not great. I can get much better quality factory assembled doors (made to measure) for less than the store prices but they would of course need to make some profit on them.
