Hi Guys

My controller has stopped displaying any information on the screen - it still switches the boiler on/off, and the backlight still comes on when a button is pressed, it's just that the actual display has no information

It happened about a week ago and I changed the batteries - this solved the problem until last night when it happened again

Any ideas? Or is it just a replacement job?

Were the batteries brand new or just ones you had lying around?

If new batteries don't solve, it's a replacement job. If it's under a year old take it back to the supplier and demand a replacement.

If it is over one year and under six years old, and the retailer says that it's out of guarantee, so he can't do anything, tell him that he is wrong. He has liability, under the Sale of Goods Act, for faulty goods up to six years from purchase. Ask for it to be repaired/replaced. He will probably want to send it to Honeywell for testing.
