Honeywell CMT927 receiver location

Hi

Numerous searches reveal lots of questions about locating the thermostat but less info about location of the receiver. I wish to install the above wireless thermostat to a newly installed Baxi Duo tec. I am struggling to locate the receiver in line with the manafacturers recomendations of 30cm away from any metal object including wall boxes....................does this include wall sockets??

Current ideal location is about 15 cm away from a double wall socket, in anyones experience, will this cause a problem?

why dont you connect receiver to 3 pin plug and length of cable

position receiver where you want it to go (temporarily) and send signal from prog stat

if it works go for it, if not, keep moving receiver until a good position is found

fitted loads of these models and have no problems with even if they 25mm from electrics.

Thanks Guys, after following this advice and despite dire warnings of transmission interference, I have located the receiver inside the cupboard housing the boiler............no probs.
