Hi
If i want to add protection to my gate and add it to my intruder alarm system whats the best way to do this?
I do not think Honeywell make an external weather proof connector for the G2 range?
Can i use normal door contacts or photocells?
I bought a wireless door contact with external input but not sure if this is what I need?
Any advise would be great.
thanks

As per Mark, the roller contact is ideal for this. Just connect to your wireless contact in a plastic waterproof case. You may want to add another cheap magnetic contact to the case for tamper connection - depends on the application.

The Honeywell RF range does have a really neat waterproof contact for external use, but sadly it's only for the American panel frequency, so not suitable for the UK.

Thanks guys ! Is this the only option or can gate photocells/beams be used if they offer a normal NO/NC option and a 12v power source?

The wireless contact can take any switched output, so the beam will be okay. If you want to hard wire the NC+C outputs into a zone on the panel, then you just need to add a 1k resistor in series and another 1k across the NC and C connections.
