Hi to you all.

Moved into this house and got the alarm system control box updated to the above named unit.

It has an alarm within the control box and also a bell and light box outside.

However it does not have a siren for use indoor to theoretically put the fear of JC into the burglar, but more importantly, to alert me because I cannot hear the existing audio alarms from the bedrooms.

So this is what I think I have to do to connect an internal siren. Your guidance would be very welcome.

1. Switch of the power. The alarm will then be powered by internal battery.

2. Remove cover. Disconnect the battery to silence the alarm.

3. Connect the additional siren to (and here is a question)what terminals?

4. Reconnect the battery and fix the cover on, switch on the power and reset the alarm. :D

why not do the following;

power off the mains supply

remove cover

silence sounder by entering code

connect 16 ohm SPEAKER (not sounder) to the speaker terminals

put cover on

switch the mains on

reset system

doing the baove prevents you from annoying the hell out of your neighbours with a noisy external siren!!!

also try getting a pyronix twin alert as its got a pot to ajust the speaker volume and a siren input if you dont want entry and exit tones from the speaker
