At a job today and the customer wants a new programmer as the existing one
An st699 is not working
The options are straightforward replacement with a 699 or go for the 799.when she was browsing the net she found an st 9400c 2
Can this be used without wiring changes as in running extra cable?
System is a glowworm space saver ,cylinder upstairs
As can be seen my knowledge of control systems is not vast
Any advice other than give up ?

Yes, the ST9400c - if you have a look at the installer Guide in the link I posted, you'll see

Robin excusethebasic nature of this question but this is the programmer back on the existing st 699 . So can I remove the two links from live to 5 and the other from 5 to 8 and then adjust as necessary ?

Turn off power and test to ensure safe. Remove links; label remaining cores and loosen securing screws; remove ST699 backplate from wall; Attach ST9400c backplate to wall; connect cores as per instructions in Honeywell Installation guide (link posted previously). Job done!
