Hi

Just started self installation of HIVE.

Removed Honeywell Dual Controller for CH and HW. Found only eart, Live neutral and two other wires for CH on and HW on on pins 3 and 4.

I also have a wired thermostat which I presume wires direct to the boiler and not the programmer.

HIVE instructions suggest I need 4 wires for HW on and off and CH on and off.

Basically, unsure as to what to do now.

Do I simply wire existing wires on 3 and 4 to the hive unit or what?

Hope you can help!!

BTW, rung the HIVE installation helpline who inform me that they are "unable to help with wiring issues"

fantastic!

ok

Thanks to You Tube, I appear to have got the Hive up and running!

BUT, what do I do with the old wired thermostat?

The thermostat is not wired to the old programmer so not to the new Hive backplate. So is it wired direct to the boiler? I presume I need to remove it?

So, how?

Hope to get some help on this!
