Hi,have bought the val322mp to replace my faulty existing honeywell, but the new motor has five wires whereas the old one has three.Can anyone help with which wires go where please,thankyou.

If your old three port valve had three wires (blue, brown, green, I'd imagine) it automatically springs back. Might be used on a hot water priority system or weather compensated.
You cannot simply change them over because the Tower is a three postion valve, your Honeywell is a two position. And Honeywell make at least two different variants of this type of valve, with the motor opening either way. Plus numerous three position types.
Take it back and buy the right one. There is a model number of the side. Be aware they all LOOK similar.
