did this fault suddenly appear or has any work been done involving gas, water, electrics or drilling holes?
if i remember the yplan correctly, there are only 3 wires on the cylinder stat. where do you measure the 230?
does it make any difference when you turn the stat at 80 or 30?

We always take live from pin 3 on the boiler, and return sw/L to pin 4.
However, this is not the problem. It purely stops the ext controls backfeeding the boiler electronics and on off switch - and the 4 series is not fitted with an on/off switch anyway!
The HW off from pin 1 of the prog should select HW only on the valve, via the cylinder stat. Most problems with 3 ports are incorrect cyl stat wiring.

Never understood why this is
Even more reason for the necessary fan isolater switch to be fitted at the boiler.
