hi peeps,just wondered if anyone might know what could be the problem with our washing machine;

basically it doesnt seem to be spinning properly,when it goes through a cycle it stops when it needs to spin and the delay start light lights up along with the door locked light and when i go through the settings to try and make it spin out theres a load of soapy water left in the machine it does seem to be pumping water out but i dont know wether it should be a steady stream or if its meant to be gushing out?,could this be a pump problem?it also seems to be stuck when i manage to get it to spin?hope this all makes sense?

wifes nagging me to try and get this fixed and i aint got a bl***y clue on what i can or cant do,so plz if you can offer any advice it will be much appriciated

regards gregers

check the filter first, poss found at the front under kickstrip.

done that bit of carp came out,reset the machine and suffering same problems as before,so now im at a loss.

when you turn the machine to drain does the pump actually operate (you should be able to hear it)
Not too uncommon for some crud to get caught up in the impeller and stop it turning which prevents it pumping out

yep checked that the impellor turns smoothly and no crud,so still at a loss.

well got it sorted,turned the machine upside down and went to take the pump off.pulled the first pipe off and lo and behold out comes a sock and a 2 pence piece so now ive got a matching pair of socks and found some money rather then spending LOADS ON CALLING OUT THE REPAIRERS put it back together hey presto working fine,PHEW missus has stopped nagging me now.RESULT :lol:
