Hoover Nextra Dryer HNC170 - replacing heating element

Hi,

I have got a new heating element which I want to put into my HNC170. I have taken the back off and gained access to the heating element, however I now can't see how to actually take the heating element off to replace it. The new heating element has four cables with push fit connectors on the end. As can be seen from my photo the cable from the heating element disappears into a small hole - and I can't work out how to get access to where the cable has gone to swap over the connectors.

Anybody got a solution to this.

You will need to take off the side panel to get at the wires.

The sides don't look detachable - the 2 sides and back piece look like one piece with no screws etc on them - so assuming I have to go in through the front now.

The side panels on this model are not removable, it is a welded construction on 3 sides. Apart from the lid the only removable panel is at the front. Usually you can retrieve the connector block through the hole in the rear panel but this isn't always the case. Take off the lid & have a peek, but you may have to remove the front panel to find out exactly what's going on. All in all a very poor construction

TO GET THE WIRE CONNECTORS TO PULL THROUGH HOLE YOU NEED TO PUSH INSIDE THE PLASTIC SECURING PLUG TO THE LEFT OF THE HOLE. THE WIRE WITH 4 CONNECTORS WILL THEN JUST PULL THROUGH ENOUGH TO CONNECT NEW ELEMENT WIRES.
