Hi all,

Okay I am stupid but the Hoover TV30 dryer has shredded the belt but I cannot find a way into the back of the mchine to replace it! Can anyone tell me how? The top lid has 3 screws on it at the back which have been undone but it is not sliding back to give me access. The only access panel seems to the galvanised guard at the back which I have removed but that just protects the electrics and does not give access to the belt area.
I feel like cutting it up into little pieces at the moment...any help would be appreciated.

They may be some clips that are used to hold it in place, check you have removed all the screws fixing it in, if screw are at the back logic says the top is slide backwards. So backwards and tilt up if you can.

Thanks, I have taken off all visible screws from the top, it must slide but wont therefore there must be more hidden. I have found 4 screws at floor level at the front, so will try to undo these and see if I can gain better access to the top to locate the missing screws....frustrating though it is not a simple task and not mentioned anywhere! Thansk for your answer though.

I have taken out the screws at the bottom of the front panel and this does not seem to give any more free play to access anything. There must be a way to take the top off without stripping the whole machine of every visible screw.
