A friend acquired a second hand Hoover UltraCare 1600 washing machine. Previous owner said it works ok but you have to close the door gently. Well no matter how gently (or hard) you close the door it just won't work. I had a quick look and the only sign of life from the machine is the door lock LED light that keeps flickering whether the door is open or shut. Sorry I don't know the actual model number but appreciate if anyone has any ideas what could be wrong.
