Hormann garage door copying a remote

Decided I'd need a second remote for the electric door opener - forty quid from the official supplier, or fourteen from China - no contest.
It arrived within a few days, that surprised me! the packaging shows it came through Heathrow. Fourteen quid to airmail an item!

Anyway, I can't get the damn thing to work! I followed the (well written) instructions, to no avail. Can anyone suggest a helpful website that may be able to help me please?
It's a Horman Supramatic E3, with a HSE2 868 BS remote (that works fine). I've the Horman installation and operation website.

I've emailed the supplier and they're supposed to be sending me a video.

Is it the one with blue buttons?
I've bought a few cheap ones and they work great

Place them together and hold down the button on the working remote and then the same button on the new remote for about 5 seconds

That should sync them
