Hormann Promatic garage door remote stopped working

Hello, I moved into a house which had a Hormann Promatic remote garage door. This has worked for 2 years, but now the remote controls are not working.
The unit works fine if I press the button on the unit to open/close it.

I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with remotes not working

(please note - I have changed the batteries on both remotes - but neither work (ie - I have 2 exact remotes with 2 buttons on each)).

I don't even know where the remote receiver is as I haven't got any manuals - and ones I have looked at online don't seem to have any help for remotes stopping work.

all you can do is check the receiver when you find them

We had a similar problem and contacted a company called www.garagedoorrepairsstockport.co.uk which we found after searching for garage door repairs on google. They were happy to explain the solution over the phone.

You may have to reprogram them back into the system after a battery removal, which model have you?

Hi - I’m having the same problem as the OP. I’ve got 2 of the larger remotes, and a small key fob remote. Both of the larger remotes failed at the same time and I’ve changed the batteries in both. Now the led on the fob doesn’t even come on. I’ve tried cleaning the terminals to no avail. Any advice greatly appreciated

You can buy new remotes on Aliexpress but you'll need a working remote to sync them.
