I am looking to update my old heating programmer, i think it is a 424 DIAMOND, the centaurplus c27 is listed as a replacement with re wiring of the back plate needed, has anyone done this? if so is it pretty straight forward?

I am also looking to run an extra radiator off this fitting from my kitchen threw to my living room can i just run it the conventional way to the new radiator so it runs in both sides of the radiator?, i also need a radiator to fit to this fitting in the kitchen (was removed before we bought the house) will any standard radiator do or am i as well changing these fittings at the same time.

The new programmer will have a chart describing the old and new terminal connections. Fairly simple if you work methodically.
As for the rad, the dual entry valve should be discarded and the new rad plumbed as normal by extending the existing pipes to either side of the rad. I can't make out the pipe size, 8/10mm?, but you can either extend what's there or fit a coupler and increase to 15mm and fit new valves.
