Fridays quick job was to connect the pipe from the existing house to the shower in the extension.

Did some lovely soldering from one side of the room to the other, including pipes ready for the WC and basin.
When I pressurized the water, I had a small weep in one of my solder fittings.
Spent the next 2 hours trying to get all the water out so I could re-flow the joint (drained the cold, just could not do it)
Had to cut out the pipe and re-fit with new.

This time it worked a treat.

I then flushed water through ready for the electric shower to be fitted.
The water came out hot!!!

I had connected to the wrong pipe!!!
By the end, I had spent 5 hours fitting 3m of pipe.

I wish I had turned both the cold and hot tap on downstairs to drain the pipes...

All good learning though.. no harm done except to my pride.. :)

Alex.
